About Us

About Us:

Founded on August 1, 2010, the College of Exercise and Health Sciences is the first and foremost exercise and health sciences college in Taiwan. Professor Mei-Chich Hsu is the first Dean of the College. The College has three educational bodies, namely, Graduate Institute of Sports Science, Department of Athletic Training and Health, and Exercise and Health Sciences Center. The college provides fundamental and professional training for students who pursue an undergraduate degree, a graduate degree or careers in the fields of exercise physiology, sport nutrition, sport technology, sport injury prevention and health promotion.

Objectives:

To nurture professional researchers and workers in health and exercise science fields to benefit the society.

Educational schemes:

The education schemes are to train the professional researchers and practitioners, and to promote the concept in the health and exercise sciences.

Features:

1. Internationalization:

In order to strengthen students' international outlook, we hold international conferences and encourage students to participate in international conferences.

2. Emphasis on English training:

We encourage students to attend the English evaluation test. Several courses are taught by English.

3. Emphasis on academic exchange:

    We invite overseas and domestic researchers to give speeches at school. In addition, to promote academic exchanges on an international level, the faculties in our college and the collaborative partners abroad have set up special programs for the student’s internship and research experience.

4. Practice learning:

We place equal emphasis on theory and practice. We provide many practical learning opportunities to undergraduate students in health and exercise relevant institutions.

5. Combination of academic and industry:

Many faculties and students attend the National Science Council, government projects, and Industry-University cooperation.

1. Exercise and health sciences researchers in universities, government organizations, and industries.

2. Fitness workers, personal trainers, group exercise instructors, fitness directors in athletic teams, health clubs, country clubs, hospitals, schools, leisure centers, resorts, yoga and Pilates studios, and clients' homes.
